YBAGS
The Y-BAGS project was born from MUSGU’s ethos of creating design that feels alive, adaptive, and inseparable from the human body. The intent was to craft a bag with the most natural fit possible—an object that doesn’t sit on the body, but rather grows with it.
Guided by biomimicry, the Y-BAGS are imagined as body extensions, echoing the way moss integrates seamlessly with any surface. Their organic silhouettes follow the body’s curves, balancing utility and comfort with a sculptural presence. Instead of forcing the wearer to adapt to the object, the design adapts to the human form, blurring the line between accessory and anatomy.
All of the designs and prototypes were developed entirely in-house at MUSGU’s studio in Brazil, reinforcing the project’s independent spirit and commitment to hands-on craftsmanship. Recently, the Y-BAGS were showcased at the KidSuper show during Paris Fashion Week, marking their debut on an international stage and affirming their place within contemporary design conversations.
