HAMCUS SPEED HELMET
The Speed Helmet was a commissioned project for Hamcus, exploring the intersection of science fiction aesthetics and real-world performance functionality. Inspired by professional cycling helmets for their aerodynamic efficiency and streamlined profiles, the design reimagines this form through a biomorphic, futuristic lens.
With fluid, organic lines that evoke motion even at rest, the helmet balances functionality and sculptural presence—maintaining airflow dynamics and ergonomic fit while pushing into sci-fi territory with exaggerated, adaptive proportions.
Developed over a period of two weeks, the project followed an advanced digital workflow: designed in Gravity Sketch and ZBrush, refined and rendered in KeyShot, and finally 3D printed to bridge digital imagination with tangible prototyping.
