DRAGONFLYS
The Dragonflys are an eyewear project born from MUSGU’s ethos of merging biomimicry with futuristic utility. Inspired by the compound eyes and aerodynamic anatomy of dragonflies, the design translates natural engineering into a wearable object that feels both organic and otherworldly.
Rather than following traditional eyewear silhouettes, the Dragonflys emphasize fluid lines, layered transparency, and exoskeletal structures, echoing how nature builds with efficiency and beauty. The frames suggest movement even at rest, capturing the agility and adaptability of the insect that inspired them.
Developed through a digital workflow in Gravity Sketch and ZBrush, refined in KeyShot, and brought into physical form through 3D printing in aluminum, the Dragonflys blur the line between accessory and organism. They are not just glasses, but a speculative vision of how eyewear can evolve—an extension of the body, grown rather than manufactured, balancing functionality with a strong sculptural presence.
